About this role
Growth Lead, Silvie
Toronto or Waterloo, hybrid | Full-time | Reports to the CEO
Own the funnel. You decide how people find Silvie, why they try it, and why they stay.
Silvie
Silvie is the first consumer product from Pontosense, whose sensing technology is deployed in 24 countries. A small sensor on the wall detects falls and tracks sleep, health and wellness, with no cameras, wearables or pendants. There is nothing to charge and nothing to remember. Families get peace of mind. Older adults keep their independence and their dignity. We are the Oura for seniors and health, and the category is ours to define.
Why now
Pontosense technology is already live in 24 countries, and Silvie is our first consumer brand. Silvie launches nationally in January 2027. We need the person who turns that launch into a growth engine: a funnel that is measured, tested every week and getting better.
The role
You own growth for Silvie end to end: acquisition, activation, conversion and retention. You set the experiments, run them yourself, read the numbers and decide what scales. You work directly with the CEO and our Head of Brand and Marketing, so what the brand promises and what the funnel delivers are the same thing. This is a hands-on role. You lead the work by doing it.
What you'll own
-
Acquisition: paid social, search, creators, partners and referral, with a clear cost per customer for every channel
-
Activation: the path from first visit to first sensor on the wall, and every point where people drop off
-
Conversion: landing pages, offers, pricing tests and checkout, measured and improving every week
-
Retention and referral: onboarding, lifecycle email and SMS, and the loops that turn customers into the next customers
-
The experiment engine: a weekly cadence of tests, what we learned, and what we scaled
-
The numbers: one dashboard the company trusts, from traffic to cost per customer to repeat and referral
-
Search and answer engines: Silvie shows up when someone asks how to keep a parent safe at home
What year one looks like
-
The January launch traffic converts, and we know exactly how well, by channel
-
Cost per customer is known, tracked and coming down
-
At least two growth loops are working, such as referral, creators or partners
-
A testing rhythm the whole company can see, with wins we have scaled
-
Our year-two growth plan is built on our own data, not guesses
How we work
-
Build it right, then make it better. People's safety rides on what we ship, so we test hard and never settle for good enough.
-
Say it as it is. Kind and direct, at every level, including the CEO.
-
Real impact. There is more room to make a difference here than at a company ten times our size.
-
Do what you said. Trust is built on follow-through, and we return it with real ownership.
-
Hard, and worth it. What we build keeps someone's parent safe at home. Rest well, it's part of the job.
This is for you if
-
You have grown a consumer product, app or product-led funnel, and you can show the numbers you moved
-
You run the experiments yourself: you write the test, build the page, launch the campaign and read the results
-
You have been early at a startup that scaled, or you have built something of your own
-
You are as comfortable in analytics as you are in a headline
-
You would rather run the test than debate it
This isn't for you if
-
You want a playbook. You'll be writing ours
-
You manage agencies or a team but no longer run the work yourself
-
You want to report on growth rather than drive it
Where this goes
As Silvie scales, this role grows into leading growth with a team of your own.
What you get
-
A sensor for your parents, on us
-
Direct access to the leadership team. No layers.
-
Fair pay. Impact decides your pay and your path, not tenure
-
Hybrid in Toronto or Waterloo, or remote if that is where you do your best work
-
Health, dental and vision benefits
The details
-
100,000 to 150,000 CAD base salary
-
This is a new role, created to grow the team, not a backfill
-
How we hire: typically an initial interview, a short case, and a final interview in person with our CEO and members of the team. We may adjust this depending on the role
-
We leverage AI tools in our hiring process, but prioritize human input and manual review
