Group Head, Human Resources
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Group Head, Human Resources to lead the organisation’s HR function and drive people strategy across multiple business units.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business objectives, while overseeing talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, compensation and benefits, learning and development, employee relations, HR operations, and compliance.
- This role requires a strong HR leader who can operate strategically while maintaining oversight of day-to-day HR operations in a fast-paced and growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organisation’s business goals and objectives.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition activities across the organisation.
- Oversee HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, HRIS, employee records, and documentation.
- Develop workforce planning and succession planning strategies to support current and future business needs.
- Build and maintain positive employee relations and provide guidance on HR policies, workplace concerns, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
- Develop and implement employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Design and manage performance management systems, including goal setting, performance reviews, feedback, and performance improvement processes.
- Identify training and development needs and implement programmes that improve employee capabilities and performance.
- Oversee compensation and benefits programmes, ensuring competitive and equitable reward structures.
- Develop, review, and implement HR policies and procedures in line with applicable employment laws and industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Use HR data, metrics, and analytics to track workforce trends and support informed business decisions.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing organisational culture.
- Lead and develop the HR team, providing coaching, guidance, and professional development.
- Partner with senior management and business leaders on people-related strategies and organisational decisions.
- Support organisational change initiatives and ensure effective communication throughout the process.
- Continuously review HR processes and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency and employee experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- A Master’s degree or professional HR certification such as SHRM-SCP, PHR, CIPM, or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 14 years’ experience in progressively responsible HR roles.
- At least 8 years’ experience in HR leadership or management.
- Experience working across multiple business units or within a group structure is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, regulations, and HR technologies.
- Proven experience developing and implementing HR strategies and programmes.
- Strong knowledge of talent acquisition, recruitment, employee engagement, performance management, and retention.
- Experience designing and implementing performance management, learning and development, and compensation programmes.
- Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop HR teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use HR data to support decision-making.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Strong understanding of organisational culture and employee experience.
