Job title: Group Fitness Instructor
About the Role Villanova University's Group Fitness Instructor will teach a variety of group fitness classes to a wide range of participants within the Villanova community. Instructors must provide modifications to accommodate beginner through advanced levels and develop a progressive practice for roughly 12 sessions per semester. Classes run in two main blocks (Fall and Spring) with early morning, late afternoon, or early evening options and flexible scheduling.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement a progressive practice for approximately 12 class sessions per semester.
- Instruct group fitness classes for a diverse community and provide modifications to meet varying skill levels.
- Schedule classes across Fall (late Aug–early Dec) and Spring (Jan–early May) with early morning, late afternoon, or early evening options.
What We're Looking For
- Current teaching certification from a reputable organization.
- Minimum of 1 year teaching experience.
- Preferred: CPR/AED/First Aid Certification.
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of beginner, intermediate, and advanced participants.
- Willingness to commit to Fall and Spring class sessions.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting salary: $30 per hour (USD).
