About the Role The Group Exercise Director leads the Group Exercise department, delivering safe, creative, and engaging group fitness programs while overseeing operations and revenues. This role focuses on providing exceptional service and a premium member experience within a hospitality-driven culture. What You'll Do
- Lead and manage group exercise programs and staff, including hiring, training, supervision, development, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee payroll processing for supervised associates and ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
- Manage group exercise operations: customer service, communication, marketing, purchasing, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Ensure programs are delivered professionally, safely, and innovatively; maintain high-quality service and member satisfaction.
- Be financially accountable: drive revenue targets, manage expenses to budget, and perform forecasting and financial analysis.
- Represent the club professionally and provide a welcoming, luxurious member experience.
- Promote safety goals and participate in corporate initiatives; support professional development and continuous improvement. What We're Looking For
- Experience leading group exercise programs and supervising staff; ability to hire, train, and evaluate personnel.
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification with active fitness certifications (ACE/AFAA/ACSM/NASM).
- Fitness operations experience, strong leadership, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work day and evening shifts; comfortable in a customer-facing, hospitality-driven environment.
- Proficiency with standard tools and operations, including Microsoft Outlook. Nice to Have
- Familiarity with budgeting, financial analysis, and revenue planning for fitness programs.
- Experience working in a luxury/high-service club environment. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $70,000 - $82,000 per year (USD).
- Onsite position based in Pleasanton, CA.
