Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Group’s financial strategy, budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans in line with business objectives.

• Provide strategic financial insights and advice to the Group’s management to support business planning, investment decisions, and sustainable growth.

• Oversee the Group’s accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring accurate, timely, and reliable financial information.

• Lead the preparation and review of financial statements, management accounts, financial reports, reconciliations, and other accounting schedules.

• Oversee cash flow management, liquidity planning, working capital, and the Group’s overall financial position.

• Monitor and control operational costs, identify financial efficiencies, and recommend measures to improve profitability.

• Identify, assess, and manage financial and operational risks while implementing appropriate internal controls and mitigation measures.

• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, financial regulations, tax laws, and other statutory requirements.

• Oversee tax planning, compliance, assessments, and timely filing of all relevant tax returns and statutory obligations.

• Manage NRS (Nigeria Revenue Service) matters, including tax assessments, correspondence, audits, reconciliations, and regulatory requirements.

• Coordinate Group-wide accounting activities and ensure consistent accounting policies and proper treatment of intercompany and cross-group transactions.

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll-related financial processes, and other core accounting functions.

• Review financial transactions and ensure compliance with approved policies, accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.

• Liaise effectively with external auditors, tax authorities, financial institutions, regulators, professional advisers, and other key stakeholders.

• Lead and provide direction to the finance and accounting team, promoting accountability, efficiency, and professional development.

• Identify accounting, reporting, and process gaps and drive improvements in financial systems, controls, and processes.

• Provide regular financial performance reports and insights to the Group’s leadership, highlighting key trends, risks, opportunities, and recommendations.

• Ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and security of the Group’s financial information and records.

• Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from a reputable institution.

• Must be a Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification).

• 5–7 years’ relevant experience in a senior accounting or financial management role, preferably with Group-level experience.

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, taxation, financial planning, budgeting, and financial analysis.

• Proven experience managing tax and NRS-related matters, including tax assessments, compliance, and regulatory correspondence.

• Demonstrated experience in Group accounting, intercompany transactions, and consolidation.

• Strong leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse finance team.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and make informed decisions under pressure.

• Strong proficiency in accounting and financial management software and Microsoft Office applications.

• Experience working in a marketing, advertising, creative, or related agency environment is an added advantage.
