Schreiner University is seeking an entry-level Groundskeeper I to maintain campus grounds and assist with public building care. The role involves performing grounds maintenance, supporting event-related needs, and auxiliary campus maintenance tasks as required. Some overtime and weekend work may be required for events.
What You'll Do
- Maintain the appearance of the campus grounds, mow and trim grass
- Trim, water, remove and plant trees and shrubs
- Control ant beds; care for lawns, shrubbery, trees and flowerbeds
- Remove dirt, rubbish, and refuse from grounds; clean and maintain grounds equipment
- Drive trucks and haul materials, supplies, dirt, and/or office furniture
- Work special events (parking, loading, etc.) – may include weekends and overtime
