A Snapshot of Your Day
As the Grid Access Operations Manager within Siemens Energy’s Grid Lifecycle Services, you will promote and embed Siemens Energy’s ‘Zero Harm’ culture across the Grid Access Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Team. Your role will involve monitoring the safety performance of the Operations Team and proactively implementing measures to ensure zero EHS incidents. You will deliver the strategy for all service requirements on new and existing projects, manage all 24/7 operational requirements, and monitor contractual and financial performance across all Grid Access O&M activities. Leading, managing, and developing GA Hub Managers and Operations teams will be key, as will ensuring timely completion of monthly contract reviews to meet business objectives in line with governance and compliance requirements. You will also initiate and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance business area performance and profitability.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Provide the delivery strategy for all operational requirements on new and existing projects, continually monitoring its effectiveness and adapting where required.
- Liaise with Siemens Energy department managers involved in delivering GA O&M projects/contracts to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Ensure GA O&M projects/contracts maximize gross margin and work closely with Finance and Commercial teams to forecast and deliver financial targets.
- Deliver high QHSE standards on all sites, ensuring operational staff understand their QHSE responsibilities, including the investigation and reporting of incidents.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships, ensuring client escalations and compliments are recorded and addressed promptly.
What You’ll Bring
- A degree in an engineering-related subject or 10 years of industry experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a management function in the Electricity Transmission & Distribution Industry, with project and contract management experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in negotiation.
- Full knowledge of governance and compliance procedures associated with project delivery and tendering.
- Understanding of CDM Regulations, current H&S legislation, and risk management processes.
