Job title: Graphite Tube Furnace Specialist
About the Role This is a product overview for a graphite tube furnace designed for research and development. It operates in vertical or horizontal configurations with a maximum temperature of 3000°C and usable load areas of 4" diameter x 12" long or 4" x 8". An optional muffle tube allows processing in oxidizing or abrasive environments up to 1750°C.
What You'll Do
- Operate and configure the furnace in vertical or horizontal loading configurations.
- Set and monitor operating temperatures up to 3000°C and select between 4"x12" or 4"x8" load dimensions.
- Manage the all-graphite hot zone, heating element, shields, and vacuum/inert gas system.
- Choose and install an optional muffle tube for oxidizing or abrasive environments up to 1750°C.
- Support applications including annealing, brazing, ceramic firing, degassing, graphitizing, carbonisation, melting and sintering.
What We're Looking For
- Familiarity with high-temperature graphite furnaces and inert gas/vacuum systems.
- Understanding of load configurations (vertical/horizontal) and compatible accessories.
- Knowledge of high-temperature processing applications such as annealing, brazing, degassing, graphitizing, carbonisation, melting and sintering.
- Safety-conscious with materials handling and heated zone equipment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with muffle tubes and oxidation/abrasive environment processing up to 1750°C.
- Experience with 4" diameter graphite furnaces and 8" or 12" heated lengths.
