About this role
About the Role We are seeking a specialist to support graphite furnace technology across design, manufacturing, and spare-parts supply. The role focuses on understanding and optimizing graphite heating elements, insulation, and hot zones used in high-temperature processing up to 3000°C in inert gas or 2200°C in vacuum. What You'll Do
- Collaborate with product design and manufacturing teams on graphite furnace components (heating elements, insulation, hot zones) and their performance at high temperatures.
- Assist with selecting materials and configurations to maximize temperature uniformity, longevity, and ease of installation (taper-fit power connections, rounded edges, proper gap spacing).
- Support sales and customers by providing technical information on graphite parts and spare components (rods, pins, bolts, nuts, fixtures) and addressing customization needs.
- Help document and maintain design guidelines for graphite hot zones and insulation thickness for target operating temps.
- Contribute to quality control and process improvements to minimize gas ionization and maximize furnace life. What We're Looking For
- Interest or background in high-temperature materials, graphite, carbon composites, or refractory components.
- Understanding of graphite heating elements, insulation materials (rigid graphite fiber board, graphite felt), and hot-zone design.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing workflows.
- Detail-oriented, problem-solving mindset, and teamwork in engineering and production environments. Nice to Have
- Experience with different furnace configurations (top-loading graphite furnace, hot zone options) and spare parts supply.
- Familiarity with vacuum and inert-gas processing environments and gas ionization considerations, and life-extending design practices.
- Experience with maintenance, replacement, and installation of graphite parts (rods, pins, bolts, nuts, fixtures). Compensation & Benefits
- Not disclosed.
