Job Summary

Performs a full range of graphic design, art direction and production duties that support the strategic communication and marketing needs of Cleveland State University and enhance the University’s image to both external and internal communities. Provides creative direction for print and electronic media projects and special events. Works closely with department account representatives in team effort to achieve the highest level of product. Interacts professionally with all internal and external customers using strong interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or a combination of specialized training and professional experience in graphic arts design. Three to five (current) years experience in graphic arts and design. Demonstrated creativity and ability in graphic design using related computer technologies (portfolio required). Previous experience coordinating and leading complex graphic design projects. Must possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in operating MacIntosh computer software, desktop publishing programs and applications. Familiarity with web design concepts and use of web as a marketing tool.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree or post-graduate education. Previous experience in graphic design in a university or college environment.
