Grant and Compliance Officer (Finance Officer)

Job Summary

The Grants and Compliance Officer will support the organisation in managing grants and ensuring compliance with donor requirements, organisational policies, contractual obligations, and applicable regulations. The officer will assist with grant documentation, reporting, compliance tracking, and maintaining complete and audit-ready records.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the administration and monitoring of grants throughout the grant cycle.

• Maintain an up-to-date grants tracker showing key deadlines, deliverables, and reporting requirements.

• Support the preparation and submission of donor reports and grant-related documents.

• Review programme and financial documentation for completeness and compliance.

• Maintain organised electronic and physical grant files.

• Support monitoring of donor requirements, contractual obligations, and reporting deadlines.

• Assist programme and finance teams in understanding and complying with donor requirements.

• Support the preparation and review of budgets and budget-related documents.

• Track grant expenditures against approved budgets in collaboration with the finance team.

• Support the preparation of documentation for donor reviews, audits, and compliance checks.

• Identify and report potential compliance gaps to the supervisor.

• Assist with follow-up on corrective actions arising from audits or compliance reviews.

• Support the development and updating of organisational compliance tools and checklists.

• Maintain confidentiality of grant, financial, partner, and organisational information.
