Job Title: Graduate Trainee (Quality Control Supervisor)

Job Summary
Reliable Steel and Plastic Industry Limited is seeking a highly motivated, disciplined, and career-driven Graduate Trainee to join our Quality Control team as a Graduate Trainee – Quality Control Supervisor. Key Responsibilities
- Support the supervision of Quality Control Inspectors and production quality activities.
- Monitor production processes to ensure products meet established quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct and coordinate routine quality inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished products.
- Identify, document, and escalate quality defects, production deviations, and non-conformities.
- Ensure proper recording of inspection results, production quality data, and quality-related reports.
- Work closely with Production, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve quality issues.
- Monitor compliance with established QC procedures, work instructions, and company standards.
- Assist in investigating the root causes of recurring quality problems and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure proper handling, segregation, and reporting of rejected or defective products.
- Support the implementation of good housekeeping, safety, and quality practices on the factory floor.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects, waste, and production losses.
- Carry out other quality-control and supervisory duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree / HND in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline with 0–2 years of work experience, preferably with some exposure to supervisory, quality control, production, or factory operations.
- Must have completed NYSC and possess evidence of completion/exemption.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role will be an added advantage.
- Previous experience working in a plastic manufacturing company, either as a Supervisor, Quality Control personnel, Factory Helper, Production Assistant, or in a related factory role, will be a strong advantage.
- Good understanding of basic Quality Control / Quality Assurance principles.
- Ability to identify product defects and pay close attention to details.
- Good numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to supervise, coordinate, and work effectively with a team.
- Must be physically fit and comfortable working in a manufacturing/factory environment.
- Basic computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word, is an advantage.
- Must be willing to relocate to Onitsha, Anambra State.
