About this role

About the Role This is a Graduate Position in Motorola Solutions' Deployment team working on the Pronto Digital Policing app. You will join a squad of Technical Project Managers, software engineers and QA engineers to bridge the gap between product and technical development and help deliver the roadmap. What You'll Do

  • Produce a project plan and agree it with the customer.
  • Manage the development and testing of the solution in alignment with the project plan.
  • Deploy the solution and secure customer sign-off.
  • Oversee UAT/SAT testing in line with the test plan.
  • Manage training and deployment plans.
  • Manage the in-life support plan and customer relationship.
  • Develop and maintain the project plan in line with customer requirements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation relating to the business process re-engineering and benefits realisation.
  • Coordinate third-party supplier involvement as needed.
  • Develop and maintain all project-related documentation.
  • Identify new opportunities for potential sales.
  • Work within an agile squad; participate in sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
  • Start as a Developer writing Java, XSLT and Android applications; progress to taking on more Technical Project Manager responsibilities through the Development Programme.
  • This Development Programme includes training in both technical and soft skills, delivered via a combination of in-house and external sessions. What We're Looking For
  • A high level of communication skills - written and verbal
  • A high level of technical understanding - the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Diplomacy skills for establishing and managing relationships with customer stakeholders
  • Software competency is required
  • The Development Programme includes training in both technical and soft skills, delivered via in-house and external sessions
  • You will start off in the programme as a Developer, and will be responsible for writing Java, XSLT and using our in-house tools to produce Android applications
  • As you gain technical expertise and progress through the programme, you will gradually shift towards doing less development and taking on more and more aspects of the Technical Project Manager role Compensation & Benefits
