This Mod 2 beekeeping tutorial invites students to explore the vital role of honeybees in our ecosystems through hands-on colony management and community discussion.

Examples of Duties
-
Aid in caring for 4 active bee colonies

Gaining direct experience with hive inspection
-
Bee behavior and colony health while deepening their understanding of the broader environmental and societal issues surrounding pollinators today

Meet several times a week and blend practical fieldwork with discussion-based sessions covering current bee-related research, the decline of pollinator populations, agricultural impacts, and the growing importance of urban beekeeping

Other duties as assigned

Graduate Student at NCF
