About the Role This role is primarily remote/hybrid with travel to UK sites. We are seeking a motivated Graduate Systems Engineer to join the Guardian Mobile delivery team to develop expertise in complex infrastructure, systems integration, and deployment environments. You will transition to full systems engineering ownership of assigned Guardian Mobile deployments, bridging operational needs and enterprise architecture, and will own the technical configuration, system design validation, and end-to-end integration of Guardian Mobile solutions for strategic emergency services customers across the UK. What You'll Do
- Support the design validation, integration, and deployment of the Guardian Mobile Solution from contract award through to go-live and live service.
- Partner with the Customer's IT and Infrastructure leads to integrate the Guardian Mobile system securely into their complex environment architectures.
- Capture customer operational requirements and translate them into robust, high-availability technical system configurations.
- Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation relating to system level designs, implementation patterns, and interfaces.
- Work closely with the Guardian Mobile product engineering team to ensure new infrastructure requirements, features, and platform integrations align with project designs.
- Act as an internal and external technical point of contact for systems engineering, liaising confidently with customers and third-party suppliers. What We're Looking For
- Academic & Technical Qualifications: A formal qualification (First-Class or 2:1 Degree) in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Systems Architecture, IT, or a highly relevant engineering discipline. IMPORTANT - Ability to obtain NPPV3 and SC security clearance (requires UK residency for a minimum of 5 years).
- Core Systems Engineering Knowledge: System Level Design; Networking Principles; Microsoft Server Ecosystem; High Availability & Clustering; Database Management; Cloud Architecture.
- Soft Skills & Methodologies: Troubleshooting; Communication; Agile & DevOps Mindset.
- Highly Desirable: An industrial placement year or internship experience in an enterprise systems engineering, infrastructure, or software deployment environment. Knowledge of or exposure to UK blue-light (Police, Fire, or Ambulance). Nice to Have
