Job title: Graduate Student Work-Study Assistant - Course Organization & Materials Management
About the Role This is a part-time, remote Work-Study position supporting course organization, resource development, and student support within the School of Counseling, Psychology, and Therapy at Antioch University. The role emphasizes inclusive course design and professional standards.
What You'll Do
- Organize and maintain course resources (readings, handouts, recordings) and assist with formatting and updating course syllabi; upload/update syllabi to Brightspace.
- Align Brightspace course pages, modules, due dates, and posted materials; create checklists and enhance student usability.
- Conduct research and resource development: identify diverse, current scholarly materials; maintain a resource library; present findings for supervisor review.
- Manage scheduling and deadlines: attend weekly 1-hour supervision, coordinate appointments, maintain course calendar, send reminders.
- Respond to general non-clinical inquiries; draft course announcements; route complex questions to supervisor.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to FERPA and professional standards.
- Perform other course-related admin tasks as assigned within supervisor's duties.
What We're Looking For
- Enrolled graduate student at Antioch University with current Federal Work-Study eligibility.
- Strong organizational/time management and attention to detail; proficient written & verbal communication.
- Proficiency with Zoom, email, Brightspace; comfortable with fully online/remote environment; reliable internet.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality; self-motivated with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to inclusive course design and equity; interest in sex, sexuality, gender identity, relational diversity.
- Strong research and resource development skills; ability to present to supervisor for review.
- Familiarity with Brightspace gradebook, syllabi formatting, and experience with diverse materials (preferred).
Nice to Have
- Prior enrollment in DMT 6480 or DMT 5180 or GSERD-related coursework; experience in academic support, peer mentoring, or admin roles; familiarity with GSERD affirming frameworks and neurodivergence in professional settings.
