About this role
About the Role Graduate Coaches work directly with students to help them with applications and extracurricular profiles. They conduct 1-on-1 counseling, meet remotely, edit essays, and provide comprehensive support as students prepare their applications. This role offers flexible, part-time opportunities with potential growth into more responsibilities and possibly full-time roles.
What You'll Do
- 1-on-1 counseling with applicants to build their extracurricular profiles and applications
- Meet remotely with students
- Edit essays and provide feedback to foster students’ independent writing skills
- Provide comprehensive support to students as they prepare their applications
- Generate creative and practical professional experiences and projects for students’ extracurricular activities
- Collaborate with a team of up to three counselors and a Senior Counselor Mentor to support each student’s progress
- Maintain a caseload of anywhere from 0-15 students, depending on your availability
What We're Looking For
- Possess phenomenal writing skills
- Have experience working with students
- Hold a Bachelor's degree from a U.S. college or university
- Are pursuing or have completed a Master’s degree and/or PhD
Nice to Have
- Teaching experience with high school, college, or graduate students
