Requirements
- Must be a holder of first-class honours or second-class honours upper division
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Geomatics & Geospatial Information System or
- Bachelor of Science in Geospatial Information Systems and Remote Sensing from DeKUT.
- Must have demonstrable experience in GIS programming and spatial tools development with competencies in the following programming languages:
- Python, Java script, HTML/CSS, and SQL. Experience working with Typescript,
- Python Frameworks and Google Earth Engine (GEE) will be an added advantage.
Responsibility:

The successful candidate will be considered for a full scholarship covering tuition fees and stipend to pursue a Master of Science Degree in Geospatial Information Science & Remote Sensing at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology.

The candidate will be expected to dedicate 100% of their time towards the project research and implementation elements.

The candidate will undertake research in line with the overall research project.

He/she will work under the leadership of the Head of the Remote Sensing Research Group (RSRG) at the University.

The candidate will collect and analyse field derived data; prepare presentations, reports and summaries of specific areas of the project and/or the overall project.

The candidate may be called upon to make training materials on research aspects for the local communities and other audiences. He/she may be called upon to train these groups of audiences on the research products and tools.

The candidate will be required to submit quarterly progress reports on the implementation and progress of the project.
