Job title: Graduate Assistant - Athletics
About the Role The Graduate Assistant at Wayland Baptist University – Plainview Campus supports athletics operations under the Head Coach and Athletic Director. This role provides hands-on experience in many facets of collegiate athletics.
What You'll Do
- Perform pre/post game obligations and assist with scouting of opponents
- Serve as facility supervisor and provide on-floor coaching as needed
- Manage film exchange, travel planning, and conditioning program supervision
- Assist with camp organization and recruitment of student athletes
- Perform other related duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Undergraduate degree required; prior athletics experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to be student-oriented with empathy for the academic demands of student-athletes
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel and recruit; valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle; able to maintain satisfactory driving record
- Employment is subject to ICE identity and employment eligibility requirements
