About the Role McKendree University seeks a qualified Graduate Assistant to support its Athletic Performance/Strength & Conditioning program. The role involves programming for assigned teams, assisting others, and coordinating with sport coaches and athletic training staff. This position is part of the full-time graduate assistant offerings for fall and spring terms. What You'll Do
- Program and implement strength and conditioning programs for assigned teams
- Assist with programs for other teams as needed
- Communicate with sport coaches and athletic training staff
- Support daily operations of the athletic performance department
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletic Performance What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Acceptance into a McKendree graduate program
- A passion to coach; experience in collegiate/high school/private strength and conditioning
- Working towards certification through NSCA CSCS or CSCCa SCCC Compensation & Benefits
- Full-time graduate assistants are eligible to participate in health insurance, deferred compensation retirement plan (no matching), and 100% tuition remission
- A small stipend or hourly rate based on the role
- Fall and spring terms only
