The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Join a small leadership-led team as its initial commercial specialist, generating sales opportunities and supporting deals through to signature. The work blends proactive outreach, in-person event presence and sales operations upkeep.
What you'll do

Reach out to prospective buyers by phone and email, then follow up to hand qualified opportunities to senior leaders for closing.

Staff booths and meet prospects in person at industry events, traveling regularly.

Help produce and maintain marketing materials such as web content, case studies and campaign assets.

Assist senior leaders at each stage of the sales process, including demos and proposals.

Maintain CRM records, track the pipeline and prepare regular reports.

Requirements

What we're looking for
-
Roughly 1.5 to 5 years in sales development, business development, marketing or commercial operations, preferably within a young company.

Working knowledge of technical fields such as IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity or identity, enough to earn credibility with technical buyers.

Background selling to or supporting smaller business customers rather than only very large organizations.

Track record of generating new pipeline through proactive outreach and post-event engagement.

Comfort with customer-facing work, regular travel of one to two trips a month, and flexible responsibilities across functions.

Residence in San Francisco and willingness to work on-site five days a week.
