Position Summary
POSITION SUMMARY:
The GO College (TRIO Talent Search Program) Director leads a team of advisors and coordinators at Erie High School, Erie Cyber Academy, Collegiate Academy, and Strong Vincent Middle School to accomplish the mission of providing career and post-secondary information and access to our students while complying with the objectives of the Talent Search Grant, the Department of Education and Labor, Gannon University, and the Erie School District. The successful candidate must be able to support and promote the University’s inclusive Mission, its Catholic identity, and its liberal arts and professional education traditions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsibilities

- Manage the GO College Advisory/Coordinator staff at Erie High School, Collegiate Academy, Strong Vincent Middle School, and Erie Cyber School.

- Maintain grant compliance according to the 2026-31 Talent Search Grant.

- Manage all program data and records including daily contact logs, financial receipts/reports, Annual Performance Reports, program activities/events, student lists, etc.

- Manage student applications and mandatory student file content.

- Maintain compliance with the Department of Education/Labor, The Erie School District, and Gannon University.

- Budget management including monthly reporting, yearly budget creation and reporting to the Dept. of Education/Labor.

- Manage purchasing including student materials (promotional, educational, etc.)

- Meet with partnering schools’ principals and staff to plan annual events such as FAFSA Week, College Fairs, etc.

- Work with staff to plan campus visits, career-related events, summer programming, Freshman Simulation Day, and community outreach.

- Develop relevant and diverse programming for all levels of students to fulfill the mission of the grant (college access/workforce development).

- Promote the GO College program with informational videos, social media, school orientations/open-houses, and community events.

- Manage and maintain digital platforms such as Blumen Database, Infinite Campus via the Erie School District, and Text Request texting program.

- Supplementary Grant research and writing.

- Meet with and report program progress to Gannon University supervisor.

- Hire new staff including advisor/coordinators, tutors, and interns.

- Manage the dual enrollment program.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree

Must be able to support and promote the University’s Mission.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with TRIO programs or similar college/career access programs, experience with databases and MS programs
