GNC/AOCS and FDIR Engineer – Madrid – Hybrid

About the Role As GNC/AOCS and FDIR Engineer in Madrid, you will specify, design, implement, and validate AOCS and FDIR algorithms for Earth-observation, interplanetary, and ADR/IOS satellites. You’ll contribute to Indra Space’s mission to deliver high-performance space systems and work within a cross-disciplinary team from design to operations. What You'll Do

• Specify, design, implement, and validate AOCS and FDIR algorithms for Earth-observation, interplanetary, and ADR/IOS satellites.
• Develop GNC and FDIR algorithms for satellites, launchers, and re-entry vehicles.
• Support procurement and specification of sensors and actuators for GNC and AOCS.
• Perform model-based design implementation of GNC/AOCS algorithms.
• Design and test simulators and dynamic system simulations.
• Conduct mathematical modeling and trade-off analysis of hardware solutions.
• Interface with the overall system team and contribute to technical documentation.
• Participate in technical and team management activities. What We're Looking For
• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Electronic, or related fields (Physics, Mathematics).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in practical application of GNC/AOCS and FDIR domains (MSc/PhD studies considered).
• Strong background in control and simulation of dynamic systems.
• Practical experience in aeronautical/aerospace GNC/AOCS and FDIR solutions (ESA/European programs experience is a plus).
• Good programming skills and experience with Matlab and Simulink.
• Good level of English, spoken and written.
• Availability to work in a hybrid model in Madrid. Nice to Have
