About this role
Job title: Global Trial Delivery Lead - Sponsor Dedicated
About the Role The Trial Delivery Leader (TDL) serves as the single point of accountability for trial operational strategy, trial-level budget, quality, and on-time delivery of assigned clinical trials. This role represents the evolution of the Global Trial Leader (GTL), with a stronger emphasis on strategic leadership, end-to-end accountability, and governance-level decision making. The TDL collaborates with the Program Delivery Leader (PDL) and co-leads the Cross-Functional Trial Team (CFTT) to ensure alignment of trial strategies with program objectives and efficient execution.
What You'll Do
- Co-lead the Cross-Functional Trial Team (CFTT), setting meeting cadence, agendas, and expectations; empower team members to drive their functional deliverables while maintaining timelines and quality.
- Develop and integrate the trial operational strategy, including function-specific strategies (e.g., trial endpoints, ARBM, biomarkers, DEICT, digital health, companion diagnostics) and vendor strategy, into a single, holistic approach.
- Own the trial-level budget with scenario planning and cost optimization; provide budget management and oversight across assigned trials.
- Ensure on-time delivery of trial milestones and quality targets; oversee risk management and escalation through to closure.
- Review and approve key study-level documents (e.g., global master ICFs) and support early operational input during initial protocol development.
- Partner closely with the PDL to shape trial-level strategy aligned with overall program objectives.
- Define protocol deviation and resolution pathways; take ownership of study-level escalations including vendor performance issues and enrollment risks.
- Maintain timely and transparent communication of trial risks, issues, changes, and milestones to relevant stakeholders, with a focus on governance and decision making.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in trial delivery leadership with accountability for trial-level strategy, budget, quality, and on-time delivery.
- Ability to partner with a Program Delivery Leader (PDL) and co-lead a Cross-Functional Trial Team (CFTT) in a sponsor-delivered, global trial environment.
- Strong budget ownership, scenario planning, and cost-optimization skills for trial-level management.
- Experience reviewing and approving study-level documents and providing early operational input during protocol development.
- Risk management mindset with proactive identification, assessment, and mitigation of trial-level risks; track record of issue resolution and escalation.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of trial endpoints, ARBM, biomarkers, DEICT, digital health, and companion diagnostics is desirable.
Nice to Have
- Experience with ARBM, biomarkers, digital health, and companion diagnostics in clinical trials.
- Prior experience in sponsor-dedicated or global trial leadership roles and governance structures.
- Familiarity with regulatory inspection readiness and vendor management in complex trials.
