Global Sourcing Team Lead

About the Role Join Formlabs as the Global Sourcing Team Lead to build and lead a high-impact supply chain organization that ensures cost-competitive, high-quality, reliable suppliers and enables our hardware roadmap. You will be the center of commercial excellence, own COGs analysis and drive cost reductions across all hardware products while collaborating across functions and geographies to scale our hardware business.

What You'll Do

• Manage a team of commodity managers, sourcing managers and program managers to ensure cost competitive, high quality and reliable suppliers deliver our products to market on time.
• Provide access to technology and supply chain capabilities that enable and shape our hardware product roadmap.
• Be the center of commercial excellence and own COGs analysis, reporting, and reductions for all hardware products, optimizing processes as needed.
• Be the lead negotiator to get the best cost, quality and timeline performance from leading suppliers.
• Mentor team by coaching and leading by example to grow their skills in purchasing and managing a supply chain.
• Work cross-functionally with other departments, accounting, engineering design, and sustaining engineering teams.
• Ramp new sourcing efforts in response to changes in products, supply chain design, and manufacturing locations.
• Analyze purchasing trends and develop sourcing alternatives. Identify new high-potential suppliers on a global basis.
• Manage and cultivate commercial relationships with sub-tier suppliers.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 7+ years work experience
• A leader who can hire and grow great talent
• Experience with technical procurement and product development
• Develops supplier relationships, able to address problems with them as they arise
• Motivated to optimize and implement processes to drive effective and efficient scaling of supply chain and sourcing activities
• Enjoys working with international partners across the globe

• Passion for 3D printing and emerging technologies
• Experience in rapidly-growing startup environments
