Job title: Global Product Manager – Solid Wire
About the Role Global Product Manager – Solid Wire leads the global Non- & Low-Alloy Solid Wire product portfolio as a business unit. You will define and execute the global product strategy, manage the product lifecycle end-to-end, and drive profitable growth across all regions.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute the global product strategy and roadmap for non- and low-alloy solid wire products.
- Own portfolio positioning, value proposition, and lifecycle management from concept through phase-out.
- Drive new product introductions (NPI), portfolio simplification, standardization, and cost-down initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally with R&D, Operations, Sourcing, Quality, Sales, and Supply Chain to ensure successful execution and reliable supply.
- Support pricing strategy, profitability improvement, and long-range portfolio planning.
- Align global strategy with regional market requirements and customer needs.
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and VOC insights to identify growth opportunities and translate them into actionable initiatives.
- Support regional sales and marketing teams with technical positioning, product training, and key customer engagement activities.
- Optimize manufacturing footprint, capacity utilization, quality, and cost competitiveness across the global organization.
- Travel Requirement: Approximately 25–30% global travel expected.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in global product management within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of welding consumables and solid wire applications.
- Background in welding, metallurgy, or materials engineering.
- Experience with non- and low-alloy steel solid wires is highly preferred.
- Strong commercial mindset with analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a global matrix organization and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Fluent English language skills.
- Curious, proactive, and customer-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
