Global Learning Lab Educator
Global Learning Lab Educator is an integral part of a team of educators dedicated to delivering an important learning program for K-12 students that visit Penn Museum. The Global Learning Lab is a two-part program that combines a gallery tour looking closely at objects from different cultures around the world in the Penn Museum collection with an interactive and reflective post-tour workshop. The program intends to increase students’ interest in other people’s perspectives and build empathy for cultures other than their own. The Global Learning Lab Educator works approximately ten hours per week and reports to the Associate Director of Interpretive Programs. This role involves designing and executing gallery tours and classroom workshops that work together to make a substantial and interactive learning experience to improve students’ global competencies.
