Global Head of Health, Safety, Security and Travel (HSST)

About the Role Wise is seeking a Global Head of Health, Safety, Security and Travel (HSST) to lead our global resilience and duty of care strategy. Reporting to the VP of Global Real Estate, Workplace, and Risk, you will head a multinational team to protect our people, workplaces, and continuity. This senior role combines physical security, health and safety, crisis management, and corporate travel into a single, strategic function. What You'll Do

• Define and implement a comprehensive global HSST strategy aligned with Wise's objectives.
• Ensure global compliance with regional health and safety legislation (HSE, OSHA, and local equivalents).
• Mentor and lead a dispersed team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee threat and risk assessment for geopolitical and environmental risks to global offices and Wisers.
• Lead the Global Crisis Management Team to mature and regularly test Business Continuity Plans.
• Standardize access control and surveillance across the global real estate portfolio.
• Champion a safety-first culture across operational hubs and corporate offices.
• Oversee incident investigations and root-cause analyses; implement mitigation frameworks.
• Manage the Global Corporate Travel program, optimizing vendors while balancing cost and traveler well-being.
• Implement duty of care protocols including tracking and emergency response for Wisers on business travel. What We're Looking For
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to brief C-suite executives during high-pressure crises.
• Proven track record managing multi-million-pound budgets and negotiating global vendor contracts.
• Ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes across EMEA, AMER, and APAC.
• Strong background in Security, Health & Safety, and Crisis Management leadership.
• Experience leading culturally diverse teams within a multinational environment.
• Experience designing and executing global resilience and travel program strategies. Nice to Have
• Professional certifications such as CPP, PSP, CMIOSH, or NEBOSH Diploma.
• Experience optimizing vendor management for high-value travel and security contracts.
