Job title: Global Emergency Solutions Specialist

About the Role The Global Emergency Solutions Specialist oversees management and coordination of urgent cargo transportation, primarily airfreight, across a diverse range of commodities for JAS’ global verticals. The role ensures timely quotation, pickup, delivery, and exceptional customer satisfaction, leveraging deep knowledge of global logistics and airfreight operations in a fast-paced environment.

The position can be located in any EMEA country and focuses on NFO - Next Flight Out, OBC – On Board Courier, and SCH – Small Charter solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Provide tailored transportation solutions based on customer requirements, ensuring seamless execution of time-critical airfreight shipments from initial booking to final delivery.
  • Continuously track shipments, provide real-time updates, and take corrective actions to ensure safe, on-time delivery.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for customers, and prepare/verify shipping documents including airway bills.
  • Collaborate with country teams and branches in EU and overseas to align on timelines and client specifications.
  • Manage quotations, pickups, deliveries, and integration with pre-carriage and on-forwarding tasks.
  • Maintain compliance with airfreight operations and security programs.
  • Work closely with internal teams to meet client expectations and company standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Highly skilled in airfreight operations.
  • Valid airworthiness certification in candidate's country or eligible to obtain one (e.g., ZÜP in Germany).
  • Strong understanding of logistics, pricing structures and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills; ability to interact positively with coworkers and clients.
  • Able to resolve issues quickly and efficiently; self-motivated; initiative-driven; detail-oriented; multitask and meet deadlines.
  • 2-shift-setup structured in early and late shifts (Mon-Sun) with compensation days in line with local labor law.
  • English language proficiency (read, write, speak, analyze).
  • IATA HazMat training will be required and training arranged if not certified.
  • The role requires the ability to work in airfreight-secured environments and to meet aviation security program requirements.
