Job title: GitHub Advanced Security Specialist
About the Role Role focuses on advising and enabling customers to maximize value from GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS). You'll help organizations understand GHAS components (GitHub Secret Protection and GitHub Code Security), explain benefits of static analysis, software composition analysis, and secret scanning, and guide adoption within the software development lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Advise on implementing GHAS components (SAST, SCA, secret scanning) within GitHub-based development workflows.
- Assist clients with integrating GHAS with native GitHub workflows and, when applicable, Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with security and development teams to remediate vulnerabilities earlier in the SDLC and measure impact.
- Contribute to customer stories and reference deployments and support public documentation and Expert Services engagements.
- Stay current on GHAS capabilities and best practices to help teams scale secure software delivery.
What We're Looking For
- Strong understanding of GHAS offerings, including SAST, SCA, and secret scanning, and how they fit into DevSecOps.
- Experience implementing security tooling within GitHub workflows and familiarity with Azure DevOps integration.
- Ability to communicate security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent collaboration and advisory skills; consulting or deployment experience is a plus.
- Interest in sharing customer success stories, case studies, and best practices.
