About the Role
We are seeking a developer focused on GitHub Actions automation to help build, test, and deploy projects using GitHub's CI/CD capabilities. The role emphasizes leveraging hosted runners, matrix builds, multi-language support, and seamless integration with packages and secrets.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions, Codespaces, and related automation to streamline development tasks
- Run tests across multiple operating systems and runtimes using matrix builds across Linux, macOS, Windows, ARM, GPUs, and containers
- Create and manage hosted and self-hosted runners, including VM/container execution and self-hosted environments
- Implement multi-container testing with docker-compose to test services and databases in your workflows
- Automate workflows on any GitHub event (build, deploy, welcome new contributors, etc.) and integrate with GitHub Packages for package management
- Use built-in secret stores and secure credentials management to protect sensitive data in workflows
- Monitor live workflow runs with real-time logs and share failure details via links
- Explore and reuse actions from the GitHub Actions marketplace to accelerate development
- Ensure secure, scalable pipelines with a global CDN for artifact delivery and dependency resolution
What We're Looking For
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions, Codespaces, Packages, secrets, and workflows
- Experience with multi-language project stacks (Node.js, Python, Java, Ruby, PHP, Go, Rust, .NET, and more)
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, docker-compose) and running workloads on hosted or self-hosted runners
- Ability to design robust CI/CD pipelines and automate tasks across GitHub events
- Strong collaboration and documentation skills
