What is the Opportunity?
Reporting directly to the Quality Director, the Quality Manager plays a pivotal role in the success of our projects. Far more than a monitoring role, you are the guardian of operational excellence and compliance with the highest standards. You act as a strategic advisor to construction and engineering teams to ensure that every stage of the project, from design to commissioning, meets the safety, durability, and performance requirements that Aecon is known for.
What You Will Do Here:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the project quality management plan
- Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and industry standards
- Establish quality control and quality assurance processes on the job site
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure follow-up on corrective actions
- Collaborate closely with engineering and construction teams as well as project partners
- Manage non-conformities, analyze root causes, and propose sustainable corrective measures
- Provide training and awareness to teams regarding quality requirements
- Produce the quality reports required for management and the client
What You Bring to the Team:
- University degree in engineering or a relevant field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality management on major infrastructure projects
- Significant experience in heavy civil construction projects (transit, civil, public infrastructure)
- Excellent knowledge of quality management systems and applicable standards
- Ability to thrive in a complex, multidisciplinary, and high-visibility environment
- Strong leadership, rigor, organizational skills, and analytical mindset
- Excellent communication and collaboration skill
