About the Role We are looking for an experienced IT Development & Database Projects Manager to lead software development projects and SQL database management from design to production. The ideal candidate can drive projects with strong planning, coordination and technical oversight while ensuring robust data handling across the project lifecycle. What You'll Do
- Plan, coordinate and monitor software development projects, ensuring on-time delivery and quality
- Administer, maintain and optimize SQL databases across multiple projects; ensure performance and reliability
- Analyze end-user needs and translate them into functional and technical specifications
- Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders; provide regular progress reports
- Identify and resolve issues; implement effective solutions; ensure compliance and security throughout the lifecycle
- Provide end-user support and implement technical solutions
- Manage IT assets, software licenses, and resource optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to Babel's digital transformation initiatives What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in IT project management with emphasis on software development and SQL database management
- Ability to lead projects from design to production
- Proficiency with project management tools: Jira, Trello, Confluence
- Version control: Git, GitHub, GitLab
- Front-end: React 18; React Native 0.75
- Back-end: Java Spring (development, cloud, data, security); familiarity with Netflix OSS, Zuul, Eureka, Hystrix, Feign, Keycloak, Kafka, WS Rest, Hibernate, JPA, JUnit, SOAP UI, JMeter
- Cloud: Microsoft Azure
- CI/CD: Jenkins
- Development environments: VS Code, IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm
- Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
- Strong SQL skills: complex queries, stored procedures, performance optimization
- Business/requirements analysis; ability to define functional and technical specifications
- Clear communication and stakeholder management; regular reporting on progress and performance
- Focus on security, data protection and regulatory compliance
- Ability to provide end-user support and manage IT assets Nice to Have
