Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily care of elderly patients/residents.
- Develop and implement appropriate care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patients’ health, medication, nutrition, hygiene, and overall well-being.
- Supervise and guide nurses, caregivers, and support staff.
- Maintain accurate patient records and care documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safety, and healthcare standards.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in patients’ conditions.
- Promote dignity, comfort, independence, and quality of life for elderly patients.
- Address and report concerns relating to patient care and staff performance.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) qualification is required.
- Additional qualification or experience in geriatric nursing/elderly care is an advantage.
- Minimum of 6 years’ relevant nursing experience, preferably in geriatric or long-term care.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and emotionally mature.
- Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
