Original description: Oversees all maintenance operations, including contractor work, repairs, preventive maintenance, and new equipment installations. Leads a three‑shift maintenance team, demonstrating strong leadership and accountability. Focuses on reliable, cost‑effective plant performance through effective asset management.
What You'll Do
- Implement maintenance and engineering strategies to assure operational reliability consistent with facility needs, maximizing asset availability and longevity.
- Be accountable for key maintenance metrics including work order completion and machine reliability.
- Support equipment feasibility studies and make recommendations for investment; manage capital expenditure projects and meet payback expectations.
- Collaborate with operations leaders to develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives driving operational excellence.
- Execute the annual financial plan and monitor performance within the planned budget.
- Design, develop, and manage capital projects to enhance efficiencies and meet growth plans, including defining scope, budget, schedule and responsibilities.
- Develop and execute the site’s preventative maintenance program.
- Partner with cross‑functional leaders to implement capital investment projects, supplier selection, scheduling, and installation of new equipment.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s EAM platform; prioritize safety and regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance on staffing, training, employee relations, and performance management to develop the salaried and hourly production team.
- Interact with key stakeholders to provide technical support and resolve equipment reliability issues.
- Maintain industry, professional, and technical knowledge through networking, events, and publications.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree desired.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of safety, environmental, and worker protection requirements.
- Strong understanding of day‑to‑day and strategic manufacturing operations management.
- Experience managing physical facilities and infrastructure; knowledge of security and loss prevention concepts.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and logistics equipment used in packaging/manufacturing; safe usage and maintenance.
- Familiarity with tools and techniques for optimizing manufacturing processes.
- Ability to travel occasionally and to work in a production/warehouse setting; frequent walking and standing; lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Proactive problem solver with strong leadership and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree (already mentioned as desired).
- Experience with enterprise asset management (EAM) systems and capital project leadership.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $94,000 – $118,000 annually.
- Eligible for annual incentive plan and full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision; life insurance; AD&D; Short- and Long-Term Disability; EAP; 401(k); PTO and paid holidays.
