About this role
A leadership role in the Contabilidad/Contraloría at Banco Mercantil del Norte, S.A. located in Ciudad de México. This position oversees the finance and accounting function to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong controls, and effective financial management for the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Establish and enforce policies and procedures to protect company assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Coordinate budgeting and forecasting, analyze cost variances, and monitor financial performance.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP and tax regulations; lead internal and external audit processes.
- Supervise, mentor, and guide finance and accounting staff.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management.
- Certifications: Professional credentials such as CPA, CMA, or CA.
- Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and a strong knowledge of financial regulations.
