About the Role As the Generator Service Order Engineering Manager, you will lead the technical execution of generator service orders at the Siemens Energy Charlotte Campus. You will manage a team of experienced service engineering professionals to ensure accurate product definitions are released on time and within budget, while fostering accountability, quality, and continuous improvement. You will oversee resource allocation, budgeting, forecasting, and provide technical guidance, while serving as the primary escalation point for technical issues and driving on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. What You'll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of experienced service engineering professionals by setting performance objectives and providing technical and professional guidance.
- Ensure the release of accurate and complete product definitions on time and within budget to support generator service order execution.
- Oversee resource allocation, budgeting, and forecasting activities for service engineering projects.
- Promote a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
- Lead the technical review and fulfillment of customer orders for generator services, ensuring engineering specifications and project requirements are met.
- Monitor project progress against established plans, proactively identifying and resolving challenges, managing risks, and supporting on-time delivery.
- Identify and implement process improvements within project workflows to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for technical issues related to generator service orders.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support successful execution of generator service orders and achieve business and customer objectives. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of experience in project engineering, preferably supporting large rotating equipment, generators, or a related industrial manufacturing environment.
