UMC Health System is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Radiologist to join our hospital-employed, university-affiliated radiology practice in Lubbock, Texas.

As the leading comprehensive healthcare provider for West Texas and Eastern New Mexico, UMC serves more than 300,000 patients annually and is home to the region’s only Level I Trauma Center. Our partnership with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center provides opportunities for collaboration, clinical education, academic medicine, and research.

Position Highlights

  • Broad diagnostic radiology practice serving inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and trauma populations
  • Interpretation of general radiography, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and other diagnostic imaging studies
  • State-of-the-art imaging technology, including 512-slice CT scanners and 3-Tesla MRI systems
  • Collaborative group of 19 radiologists
  • No mammography responsibilities
  • Shared call with overnight nighthawk coverage and final reads
  • Opportunity to work from home one to two days per week
  • Home reading workstation provided at no cost
  • Strong interdisciplinary relationships with Trauma, Critical Care, Neurosurgery, Neurology, and other medical and surgical specialties
  • Advanced practice provider support
  • Optional academic and teaching involvement through Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree

  • Board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology

  • Eligible for medical licensure in Texas

  • Comfortable interpreting a broad range of diagnostic imaging studies

  • Residents and fellows completing training are encouraged to apply
