About the Role

The General Manager will lead all functional areas across Tyler Technologies' Municipal Court business unit within the Local Government division, drive growth, implement measurable improvements, and promote a positive corporate culture. This role will own strategic initiatives and cross-functional leadership to deliver value to clients and the market.

What You'll Do

  • Operations: Apply best practices, supervise all aspects of the business, including development, professional services and client support.

  • Develop metrics to measure efficiency and boost performance and regularly evaluate success of initiatives.

  • Client Relationships: Actively engage clients and oversee end-to-end client experience to promote our products and provide exceptional client support.

  • Sales: Collaborate with the VP of Sales to deepen market penetration and identify potentially new markets; assist in negotiating contracts.

  • Financial Management: Responsible for full P&L for the business unit; drive double-digit revenue growth and margin expansion; pursue ROI-driven initiatives.

  • Team Building/Coaching: Recruit and develop leaders and team members; create collaborative teams; mentor for engagement and development.

  • Business Growth: Develop short and long-term strategic plans; set growth targets; evaluate market and potential acquisitions.

  • Product Management: Understand market needs; contribute to roadmap; design and manage lifecycle from inception to delivery.

  • Technology Transformation: Lead cloud transformation and roll out AI-based technologies for clients.

  • Inter-company Cooperation: Align go-to-market strategies and product integrations across Tyler to deliver brand promise.

  • What We're Looking For

  • Proven leader with track record of double-digit revenue growth and margin expansion; decisive decision-maker.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA desirable.

  • Cross-functional software leadership experience in a vertical market; knowledge of city/county government processes; justice system desirable.

  • Strong financial background; P&L experience.

  • Experience cultivating and managing positive client relationships.

  • Software product management experience; AI-based technologies experience preferred.

  • Outstanding oral and written communication; able to articulate complex challenges simply.

  • Ability to travel 25-35%.

  • Nice to Have

  • MBA or advanced degree.

  • Experience with AI-based technology development and cloud-based solutions.

  • Exposure to local government/government software ecosystems.

  • Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary generally between $157,239 and $215,000 USD per year (before geographic adjustments).
