About the Role Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a General Maintenance Worker located at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. This role requires a Secret clearance and full-time status, with travel as needed. What You'll Do
- Perform general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings, including basic painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.
- Read, understand, and adhere to all applicable SOPs and TSRA's.
- Be willing to work in adverse weather, unstable terrain, and all outside conditions.
- Readily operate hand tools and stand-alone equipment; capable of lifting up to 75 pounds.
- Operate machinery to include Class VII and below forklifts; hold or be willing to obtain a CDL with hazmat endorsement.
- Support work at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL; this is a full-time, on-site role with travel as needed. What We're Looking For
- 2 years of applicable experience performing general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings (painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical).
- Ability to operate hand tools, stand-alone equipment; capable of lifting 75 pounds.
- Willingness to work in adverse weather and outdoor conditions.
- Read and adhere to SOPs and TSRA's.
- Forklift operation experience (Class VII and below). Nice to Have
- CDL with hazmat endorsement (preferred).
