About the Role The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing and coordinating repair and maintenance activities on equipment and facilities to ensure the safety and functionality of the retail store environment. Work is guided by standardized routines and allows initiative, with impact through technical tasks and support. What You'll Do
- Complete general store reparative and preventative maintenance as directed by supervisor.
- Assess store conditions and perform maintenance in plumbing, electrical, basic construction, painting, and case repair.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in maintenance areas and assist with janitorial tasks, including trash removal and floor care.
- Ensure tasks comply with safety standards and regulations to promote a safe shopping environment.
- Use expertise for diagnosis and emergency repairs and provide preventative and cost-efficient repairs.
- Collaborate with store management and staff to coordinate maintenance schedules and address urgent repair needs.
- Perform other duties as needed by management. What We're Looking For
- HS Diploma and 1-2 years of maintenance experience or an associate degree; vocational training preferred.
- Basic skills with tools, repair procedures.
- Basic working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems; understand how they work and are maintained.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools. Nice to Have
- Vocational training is preferred. Compensation & Benefits
