About the Role Under direct supervision, you will set up machines for producing customers' orders, troubleshoot and adjust equipment to maintain production quality, and support multiple departments in a rotating 12-hour shift environment at the De Pere Mill. What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot and adjust equipment to ensure production quality that exceeds customer standards.
- Set up new jobs and operate various types of paper manufacturing machinery.
- Collaborate closely with other departments and teams.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
- Perform all duties as designated by supervisor/manager and in support of Sonoco’s quality and safety policies.
- Assist other departments as needed. What We're Looking For

- Previous machine operating experience (preferred).
- Prior forklift experience (preferred).
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Working knowledge of our products and their quality requirements.
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions and perform repetitious duties while standing on concrete floors.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs and team lift 50 lbs; able to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Available to work 12-hour rotating shifts (6am–6pm and 6pm–6am). Nice to Have
- Seasonal Wisconsin temperatures and heat conditions in a mill environment. Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $26.02 per hour with 9 paid holidays, 2 weeks of vacation and 2 personal holidays (prorated) after a 60-day probation period.
- Overtime: Time and one-half after 8 hours in a day; night shift differential of $0.90.
