General Building Maintenance Associate

Sodexo is growing! We are looking for a General Building Maintenance Associate to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position offering a great team environment, work/life balance, and the opportunity to ensure customer satisfaction.

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Get hands-on with light maintenance work—think plumbing, carpentry, painting, and plastering. You'll be the go-to person making things work!
• Master the basics by tackling routine maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs, installing paper dispensers, swapping out filters, updating door locks, and adding those finishing touches
• Keep everyone safe by spotting and correcting unsafe working conditions (with management's guidance, of course)
• Team up with skilled workers, subcontractors, and vendors to bring maintenance projects and installations to life
• Lend a hand with moving services whenever the team needs you
• Stay organized by maintaining and managing maintenance equipment, tools, and supplies inventory like a pro
• Document your wins by accurately recording maintenance activities, work orders, and completion reports
• Think ahead by performing preventive maintenance inspections and catching potential issues before they become problems
• Communicate like a champ with building occupants about maintenance activities and service requests
• Champion sustainability by ensuring waste management and recycling procedures are followed throughout the facility
• Rise to the occasion by responding to emergency maintenance situations and jumping in on urgent repairs
• Keep learning by attending training programs (both classroom and virtual) as needed
• Play it safe by complying with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures
• Work smart by performing all tasks in accordance with established safety procedures
• Stay engaged by participating in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments
• Bring flexibility by taking on other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Qualifications

• You are a dynamic and reliable person with good communication and interpersonal skills. You are committed to quality assurance and safety.

• During your mandate, you will be asked to perform light maintenance work including plumbing, carpentry, painting and plastering. You will be required to perform tasks such as, but not limited to, changing light bulbs, installing paper dispensers, changing filters, changing door locks, performing minor decorative maintenance and other tasks that Management required to do so. You will identify and correct unsafe working conditions under the supervision of management. You will be required to assist at special events as needed, assist skilled workers and subcontractors/vendors. You will also be responsible for performing moving services as required. You will working Maintenance Program.

• You will be attending training programs (classroom and virtual) as needed, comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures, perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures, participate in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned as required

• You must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent experience. Minimum of one-year related experience. Bilingualism is an asset and you must have the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

• Salary Range: 20.00 - 22.00 per hour - Full time
