About the Role
General Assistant (Internal Applications Only) role at Cashbuild in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. This position focuses on delivering comprehensive customer service, merchandising stock, shelf price labelling and housekeeping within the designated area of responsibility to ensure a safe, well-organised store experience. What You'll Do

Provide excellent customer service in-store, assisting customers with product queries and resolving complaints.

Merchandise stock according to the store layout, ensure accurate shelf price labelling, and maintain planograms.

Keep your area clean and safe; remove obstacles and ensure customers can move safely within your aisle.

Manage stock within your area: receive stock, merchandize promptly, report discrepancies and damaged stock to the Store Manager.

Follow OHSA safety requirements and complete checklists when on duty (canteen and toilet/showers schedule).

Support stock loss controls and report any issues to the Store Manager. What We're Looking For

Minimum Grade 10 or NQF 3 with 1 year of related work experience, or Grade 12 without related work experience.

Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language spoken in the area of the position.

Valid South African ID or work permit.

Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.

Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays; ability to work under pressure.
