About the Role
We are seeking a General Assistant to provide comprehensive customer service in-store, and to assist with merchandising, shelf price labeling and housekeeping within the designated area of responsibility. What You'll Do

Provide customer service and assist customers with product queries and issues.

Advise and assist customers on correct products and queries; assist with and resolve customer complaints.

Merchandize stock safely and according to store layout plan; ensure area is fully merchandised and shelf price labeling is correct.

Maintain housekeeping in your area: keep aisles clear, stock merchandised after receipt, and ensure customers can move safely.

Follow safety requirements (OHSA) and ensure area safety for customers and staff; report discrepancies to the Store Manager.

Manage stock loss and report damaged stock as required.

Complete required checklists when on duty (canteen and toilet/showers schedule). What We're Looking For

Minimum education: Grade 10 or NQF 3 with 1 year of related work experience, or Grade 12 without related work experience.

Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language of the local area.

Valid South African ID or work permit.

Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.

Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays; ability to work under pressure.
