We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented General Assistant to support our print production operations. In this role, you'll work closely with the Print Operator to ensure jobs are prepared, produced, finished, packaged, and dispatched accurately and on time.
You'll assist with machine setup, material handling, print finishing, quality checks, stock control, and maintaining a safe, organised production environment. ## What You'll Be Cooking:
- Assist with the setup and operation of printing machines.
- Prepare and load paper, vinyl, PVC, inks, and other production materials.
- Monitor print quality and report defects or production issues.
- Trim, cut, and finish printed materials according to specifications.
- Package, label, and prepare completed jobs for dispatch.
- Assist with stock control and inventory management of consumables.
- Maintain accurate production and material usage records.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment.
- Follow production schedules to support on-time job completion.
- Adhere to all health, safety, housekeeping, and PPE requirements.
What You'll Bring to the Table:

Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.

Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

Experience in a printing, signage, packaging, manufacturing, or similar production environment.

Exposure to digital or large-format printing, trimming, finishing, stock handling, and quality control.

Strong attention to detail and quality focus.

Ability to follow instructions, measurements, and production schedules.

Good hand-eye coordination and practical finishing skills.

Basic stock control and record-keeping ability.

Ability to identify and report defects or equipment issues.

Reliable, organised, and safety-conscious team player.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.

Able to work in a production environment and stand for extended periods.

Physically capable of handling and loading materials within safe limits.

Flexible to work overtime when required.
