About the Role
As a Data Modeler, you will drive the development of AIG’s data architecture and ontology frameworks, ensuring data systems are robust, scalable, and future-proof. You’ll shape how data is modeled, integrated, and governed across the organization, enabling business applications to deliver faster with higher quality and compliance. You will create reusable enterprise information assets and collaborate with solution architects, product owners, and engineering teams to deliver high-impact outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Design scalable Data Architectures aligned with AIG’s Data Strategy and business goals.
- Assist the integration of enterprise information assets, services, and business systems to ensure efficient data usage and governance with standards compliance.
- Create and manage data models and ontologies for large-scale business applications across multiple geographies.
- Document and continuously evaluate and provide recommendations to enhance the data architecture of information systems, while educating teams on data governance standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with Product Teams, Engineering Teams, Data Governance teams and other stakeholders to ensure data architecture supports business objectives while maintaining high data quality, security, and privacy compliance across applications.
- Monitor market and industry trends in data architecture and apply them to enhance information lifecycle management and data integration processes.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of Data Architecture & Data Modelling experience with enterprise-level impact.
- Experience with data governance, security and privacy in modelling and architecture.
- Experience across key data domains, including Data Analysis, Reporting, and the design of data assets for data warehouses and data marts.
- Experience with Reference & Master Data Management systems.
- Enthusiasm for using the latest technology for data innovation and AI/LLM integration.
- Experience (or certification) with Data Modelling tools, ETL tools, Snowflake, Dimensional Modelling, Data Vault Modelling, ER Modelling.
- Experience (or certification) with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, and with XML/JSON.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Experience with Data Analysis and Data profiling.
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
- AGILE / Rally development experience or training.
- Experience with (or strong enthusiasm about) AI-driven solutions.
- Experience with Palantir Foundry is advantageous, and knowledge of Ontology concepts is a plus.
