About the Role We are seeking a Gastroenterologist/Hepatologist to join our dynamic team as a Medical Director. The Medical Director will have overall responsibility for providing medical, scientific, and strategic leadership for the planning, execution, and reporting of clinical trials. This role also acts as Medpace's internal medical expert for review, presentation, and interpretation of results in Clinical Study Reports, and will contribute to the development of new clinical projects. All Medical Directors have hybrid WFH flexibility, with the potential for a fully remote arrangement with the right experience. What You'll Do
- Provide medical management and expertise for clinical trials
- Contribute medical expertise to study reports, regulatory documents, and manuscripts
- Manage safety issues in clinical trials and collaborate with associates in evaluation and assessment
- Participate in new business development through involvement in proposal and sponsor meetings
- Coordinate with other departments across feasibility, design, education, management of medical information, and editing of medical documents
- Follow specific research protocols and lead others in adherence to policy What We're Looking For
- MD with specialization in Gastroenterology
- Eligibility to obtain a medical license
- Board certification preferred
- Prior clinical trial research experience preferred
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical-related clinical research preferred
- Travel up to 20% Nice to Have
