About the Role The Garden Center Retail Sales Associate supports daily garden center operations, including customer service, plant maintenance, inventory control, and yard presentation. This role involves interacting with customers, vendors, and landscape crews to ensure a high-quality retail experience. What You'll Do
- Assist customers, process sales, and help maintain plant displays
- Present and care for the retail yard and interact with Garden Center Manager and staff
- Support inventory management and use standard POS software
- Communicate professionally with vendors, wholesale customers, and landscape crews
- Operate nursery equipment as needed and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain accuracy and organization across tasks What We're Looking For
- Experience in Retail Nursery Industry with broad Garden Center exposure
- Valid driver's license
- Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel; familiarity with inventory/POS software
- Strong plant knowledge including health, diseases, and pests
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry 15-20 pounds repeatedly
- Excellent communication, typing, and organizational skills; able to multi-task
- Professional and courteous representation of the company Nice to Have
