About the Role Be our next FutureStarter. This technical position is part of Portfolio Management and is responsible for developing and implementing profitability improvement projects for launches and post-SOP programs for multiple customers. The role focuses on generating, evaluating, and implementing cost reduction ideas impacting the total product cost on electromechanical products through design, process and resourcing changes. It is a highly visible role with interaction across all levels and functions.
What You'll Do
- Generate and develop cost savings ideas through supplier/in-house workshops, benchmarking activities, and other methods.
- Assess and coordinate idea development related to technical and commercial feasibility (business cases) with cross-functional teams.
- Prepare calculations, presentations, and data to support business decisions and obtain management approvals.
- Track status, monitor development and implementation progress for multiple projects; propose mitigation plans for deviations or roadblocks and escalate to top management as required.
- Generate reports to Management ranging from direct manager to Senior VP.
What We're Looking For
- Min 4-5 years of experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Technical background with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable.
- Strong moderation, communication skills with ability to deal with various stakeholders (Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, Quality, suppliers).
- Global thinking, results oriented, advanced organizational skills including attention to details.
- Ability and willingness to work under pressure (deadlines, balancing).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Good English skills for an international environment (EU, NA, AP).
- Experience with suppliers and/or customers is appreciated.
- Project Management skills are appreciated.
- Driving license.
